I thought now more than ever would be a great time to dive deeper into exactly what my e – design service is and how my process works! I am so thankful to be able to offer my design services even during these globally difficult times. With that being said – pandemic or not – I have fine tuned my e – design process so that it is seamless and efficient even when my full service design is a more feasible option! I love being able to offer E – Design because it allows me to connect with people all over the US…and beyond!
I thought it would be informative (and fun) to share my E – Design process with a real life example – AND a project REVEAL at the end!
I received the following client inquiry on my website:

I typically respond to my website or email inquiries within 2 business days. I never like to keep a client waiting! Plus, as soon as I receive that email my brain starts coming up with all of these creative ideas and I just can’t even wait to get started.
Once the full scope of the project is determined, the contract is signed and payment made it is time for me to get to work (even though usually even before this point I already have a Pinterest Board with ideas I have been scheming).
The first thing that I request before being able to really dive into the design process and sourcing is the following:
1. Design Questionnaire
2. Measurements of space (including any pre existing furniture to remain in the space)*
3. Photos of space*
*I provide a step by step PDF guide for measuring and photographing your space*

BEFORE PHOTOS
I always set up a Pinterest board specific to the client project to share ideas back and fourth.

Once we get to this point the client can for the most part just sit back…relax…and await their first design concept!
Behind the scenes my design process always starts with a floor plan. I need to know exactly what size of items will fit into the space before I can go fallin’ in love with things! This also ensures my designs will fit within the client space perfectly!
After working my design magic I was able to present the following design concept to my sweet 12 year old client and her mother.

100% happiness is my ABSOLUTE goal – so I continue to make revisions to the design concept until my client is in love with everything. However, I do offer professional guidance as to why certain items are suggested first.
It is extremely easy to communicate back and fourth on the design platform that I use. My client, Isabella, informed me that she isn’t a huge fan of animal print so she didn’t love the initial rug choice. As you can see I offered a few more options. She loved the subtle pink one.

Here is my final design concept!

Stay tuned for a FULL REVEAL of this project! My client is in the process of ordering pieces and putting things together. (I have a flooring and paint consultation in the home next week and I’ll be sure to snap a few “during” photos). That is another benefit of E – Design – you are able to purchase the sourced items as time and budget allows. I source mostly retail items for my E – Design package as well (versus trade only that I source for Full Service package) – so make sure to grab coupon codes by signing up for email notifications! Also, try to order all of the items from the same retailer at once to save on shipping costs. E – Design is a great service for those who are comfortable purchasing things online and doing the legwork of installation (painting, assembling, installing curtains, etc).
If you are looking for an even more hands off – EXCLUSIVE – design package…Full service is the way to go. With full service I handle ALL of the things – from procurement to full HGTV type installation and reveal! Click here to check out my full service package.
