Recently I have been sharing all things kitchen updates. I recently took on the project of painting my kitchen cabinets. Read all about that here. Then I changed out all the hardware in the space as well. Check out this blog post if you are interested in some of my favorite affordable hardware. The last thing on my to do list for our kitchen is the backsplash!
The backsplash we have decided on is Zelliage Weathered White by Cle Tile. I’m still trying to decide if I’m going to go with white or charcoal grout.

Isn’t this tile frickin’ STUNNING!? I love the texture and imperfections of it.
To give you a quick catch up here are a few before and afters of where we are currently at with our kitchen makeover. We decided against any huge renovation. Our kitchen is in pretty good condition – nothing super outdated. It just needed some updating in the cabinet color, backsplash and faucet.

We will also be painting all of our walls Alabaster by Sherwin Williams so that header dividing the living room and kitchen will tie in beautifully with the kitchen as well.
I have done tons and tons of research prior to deciding what backsplash we were going to go with in our kitchen renovation, so I decided to share some beautiful ones that I came across! Don’t be afraid to go bold in your backsplash. You can even use a classic tile for majority of the backsplash and then use a complimentary tile for below the range hood! I would have LOVED to – but since we aren’t able to change out our counter tops – a bold backsplash wouldn’t have paired well with the granite we currently have. In my next kitchen though – you best believe I’ll be using something really bold and fun!
